This policy explains what the Texas Nationalist Movement Political Action Committee (the Committee) collects when you visit this site or make a contribution, why we collect it, and how it is handled. By using this site you agree to this policy.
What we collect
When you contribute, we collect your name, email address, mailing address, employer, and occupation.
Payment is processed by Stripe. Your card number reaches Stripe directly and is never stored on our servers. We keep a record of the amount, date, and a Stripe reference for each contribution.
Our servers keep routine technical logs, such as IP address and browser type, for security and reliability.
Why we collect it
We use this information to process your contribution, send you a receipt, operate any recurring contribution you set up, and meet the Committee's obligations under Texas campaign finance law.
Contribution information becomes public record
Texas law requires political committees to report their contributions to the Texas Ethics Commission. When a contribution reaches the reporting threshold set by state law, the contributor's name, address, employer, and occupation are filed with the Commission and become part of the public record. This is a requirement of the law, not a choice the Committee makes, and it is the reason we are required to collect your employer and occupation.
How we share information
We share information only where the law requires it or where it is necessary to process your contribution:
with the Texas Ethics Commission, as described above; and with Stripe, to process payment.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for unrelated advertising.
How long we keep it
We keep contribution records for as long as Texas campaign finance law requires the Committee to retain them, and as long as needed for tax, audit, and legal purposes.
Your choices
You can cancel a recurring contribution at any time by contacting us. To correct or update the information on file for you, reach us at the address below.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Age
This site is not directed to children, and contributions may be made only by those of legal age.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
